Wireless routers are available that can have their aerials upgraded to allow them to cover the whole house. Their are various power levels available, depending on your budget, with the cheaper ones supporting only 5GHz or 2.4 GHz and the more expensive ones supporting both frequencies at the same time. The routers can also have OpenWRT installed, which can allow you to upload a list of advertising servers, so that the whole family can benefit from a mostly advert free web browsing experience. It is also possible for a full blown internet filter to be set up, if you want to have some control over the websites that members in your family are allowed to browse.
